Balancing Purpose, Payout and Permanence

When organizing your charitable dollars in a donor-advised fund, you might be asking yourself the essential questions: how much should I give, and when should I give it? Your decision may be based on your budget, your timeline or your philanthropic aspirations. You might plan to leave a charitable inheritance to children and grandchildren, or set money aside to respond to unexpected crises, which makes answering the question even more challenging.

We invite you to explore and reflect on how you approach distributing your charitable assets, balancing purpose, conditions and trends, time horizons, and assets for your goals.

We will hear from National Center for Family Philanthropy’s President and CEO Nick Tedesco who will provide insight on making grants from a donor-advised fund. He’ll address approaches to determining how much, how often, for how long and more.

During this virtual and interactive session, we welcome you to share your personal experiences, as each of our philanthropic journeys will inevitably lead us to our own conclusions, but all ultimately will help make our world a better place.

Tuesday, September 21
11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Central
